The domaine is situated in the heart of Burgundy in the south of the region Morvan. The Morvan is known as an area of outstanding natural beauty and is a low mountain range as an end of the Central Massif. The Morvan is unspoiled, hilly and reaches an altitude of 901 m at the Haut Folin. With its many hiking and biking trails and the lakes and streams the Morvan is perfectly suitable for a destination for lovers of sports and nature.
The domaine is surrounded by meadows and woods. Within walking distance, a small village is reachable, and a small town with all necessary services and many cultural activities is at 8 km. The Morvan-climate is a pleasant micro-climate, with a lot of sun and little precipitation.
Within the near vicinity many opportunities for activities like mountain biking, canoeing, golfing are available. 2 cities with thermal baths are close. The world-famous Burgundy wine region is an hour away and some beautiful medieval towns are within driving range.
Burgundy is a rural province with many different faces. Meadows, vineyards, rivers, streams, woods and cultural history characterize this rich area. The architectural centre ‘Bibracte’ is located close on Mont Beuvray. Bibracte is a Celtic find and houses an important museum of Gallic culture. Furthermore, there are the burgundy houses, the many churches, monasteries and castles.
And last by not least, Burgundy is famous for its culinary reputation and good wines. Markets offering local products are held weekly in almost every town and, especially during the summer many festivals are held.
